Tuawera Twist
With the freshest young lineup coming to Sumner we look to get those Tuawera Twisters tapping their toes once again. With a whole new lineup of local legends we are super pumped to announce the crew taking over the stage this year.
Taking over the courtyard of the Sumner library we bring the wonderful knowledge of There's a Tuesday a four piece indie/dream pop band from Otautahi. With the front women of Nat and Minnie and the lovely lads Joel and Gus. Currently releasing new music and taking over the minds and ears of their fans we look forward to welcoming them to the Tuawera stage.
Supporting them are Poolhouse an indie rock band also from Otautahi fresh off of a American recording trip where they played multiple shows after winning Dig the Gig 2022.
Opening the night we have the fabulously tantalizing Second Hand Goods hailing from garden city suburbs of UC they are an amalgamation of five former or floundering students on a fiscally responsible slop rock crusade with local hits like Mr Fish and Ode to Gnome they will sure get the Tuawera Twisters Twirling!
Tuawera Tease
As the melodic techno tunes take to Tuawera Tease stage once again we welcome a keen crew of local selectors to curate a night of tapping, twisting and teasing to commence the Tuawera festivities.
With our nights selectors consisting of Space Fm a well known and may we add well loved Otautahi selector running one of the freshest night clubs in the 03. Taking us through all things joyful we have Kate.Land b2b Pentaloe individually they are a lot but together they are more. Duck Duck Goose who other would we select from the circle of Otautahi selectors then the wonderful Goose to help transform the night into the opening night of the century! Finishing the festivities we have Patella taking us to the final destination with mesmerizing melodies and dimensional travel likely. We prepare to take of into the best Tease yet.
